FAQ

HOW ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS APPLIED?

Eyelash extensions are applied by placing the individual synthetic extensions to your natural lashes, thereby thickening, lengthening and enhancing your natural eyelashes. The adhesive does not come into contact with your skin.

HOW LONG WILL EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

The lifecycle of your natural eyelashes is between 60 to 90 days, therefore the longest your eyelashes will last is 8 weeks. The natural lash lifecycle varies from individual to individual, so some clients may find their extensions last a longer or shorter period than others. Once your lashes begin to diminish in fullness, you can either opt for infills to keep their fullness, or the remaining lashes can be removed easily and painlessly at any point by the eyelash technician using a removal fluid.

ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE?

Eyelashes are not suitable for everyone. Should you have an eye infection or condition, they may not be appropriate, and they are unsuitable for individuals with no existing eyelashes. They also require a certain level of care and maintenance, so this is something you should consider before having them.

IS THERE ANY MAINTENANCE INVOLVED WITH EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

To maintain the fullness of your eyelash extensions, infills will be required every 2 – 4 weeks, dependent on your natural lash lifecycle. With regard to day-to-day maintenance, it is important that you keep your eyelash extensions clean, and don't wear oil-based make-up products. Also, your lashes will last longer if not exposed to heat sources on a frequent basis (such as steam rooms, saunas, etc). The aftercare procedure will be discussed in full at your appointment.

WILL EYELASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

Eyelash extensions do not cause damage to your natural eyelashes as long as they are applied by a qualified eyelash extension technician who has ensured that the lashes used are not too heavy for your natural lashes. If correct aftercare is undertaken, and you do not rub or pull at the extensions, then no damage will occur.

WILL I REQUIRE A PATCH TEST?

It is recommended for new clients to have an eyelash extension adhesive patch test at least 24 hours prior to their first appointment with us.

For LVL and tinting treatments, a patch test is required at least 48 hour prior to your first appointment.
